I wasn't 7 paces from the bar having my 1st sip when a security guard dollars, 'ma'am, put your mask on'. While seated at a slot machine you may remove the mask and drink the beer and keep the mask down as long as you were 6' from anyone'. 'You can remove your mask while walking to take a sip of the beer and then replace it. To be sure it was ok I asked the bartender the specific rules about removing my mask to drink the beer. He said we could obviously remove our masks to drink a beer and that we'd keep our distance. Only about every 3rd slot machine was open and all tables were closed. The casino was rather empty and it was easy to social distance. He asked if I wanted one and I said no because I didn't want to take my mask off.
My husband went to the bar and ordered a beer. I'm a registered nurse so I'm extremely respectful understanding, and compliant with the pandemic rules and recommendations. The screening process at the casino was much more thorough than anywhere I have been and we were fine with that. We were socially responsible and distanced and wore masks.
Went out to Oxford Casino for my first date night with my husband since the pandemic began in March.
